Chapters 23 through 29 of the Uniform Building Code. All of our
questions have been answered satisfactorily. The following additions
.should be made to the drawings at the request of the engineer:
1. Concrete shall be f' = 3000 PSI for precast concrete
and f' = 2500 PSI for all other concrete.
.Reinforcement shall be fy-= 40,000 PSI.

Re: Parkway Plaza North
In reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note
the following items:
1. :A11 areas to be protected by automatic
sprinklers.
2.. Hose stations are required per City Ordinance #730.
Fire hydrants are required as detailed in City
Ordinance #729.
3. All plans for sprinkler, hydrant & standpipe
systems shall first be approved by the Wash -
inton Survey and Rating Bureau, then by.the
Tukwila Fire Department'.
4. Fire extinguishers shall be provided per NFPA #10,
as a minimum requirement...
Per OSHA requirements, extinguishers with a gross
weight of 40 pounds or less shall be hung so that
the top of the extinguisher is not higher than 60 .
inches above the floor.. Extinguishers weighing
more than 40 pounds, shall be hung so that the .
top of the unit is not higher than 42 inches above
the floor.
Extinguishers shall be located so as to be in plain
view (if at all possible.). If not in plain view,
they shall be •identifiecl with a sign stating, "FIRE
EXTINGUISHER" with an arrow pointing.
5. Protective guard posts or curbs are required around
all gas meters, electrical vaults, sprinkler valves, .
and hydrants.
6'. Per., UPC :.Sec. 10.104 (b),. "All doors in or'leading
to exit shall be maintained openable :.from the
inside without the use of a key or' ,any special .
knowledge at all times when the build
ing or area served: thereby is occupied ".

Gentlemen:
We have received the proposed project No. 752 for Segale Business Park
and have reviewed it for compliance with Chapters 23 through 29 of the
Uniform Building Code. Here are our comments:
1. Provide special inspection of concrete per Section 305.
2. Indicate height of precast wall panels.
3. Where the unsupported distance between stiffening elements exceeds
25 times the wall thickness for bearing walls and 36 times the wall
thickness for non - bearing walls, reinforcement shall conform to
Section 2610 (q)
4. Chord splice inadequate,., provide calculations.

The Planning Commission, at its regular meeting conducted 22 July 1976, reviewed
the site plan proposed for Segale Business Park Project #752.
The Commission, after considerable discussion, approved the plan subject to the
following stipulations:
1. All curb cuts shall not exceed the 40 -foot ma'mum permitted under
Section 18.56.040'(TMC).
Landscaping shall conform to the Master Landscape Plan previously
approved.
3. Planning Department review of elevations and exterior treatment.
