Hose stations are required per City Ordinance #730. Fire hydrants are required as detailed in City Ordinance #729. 3. All plans for sprinkler, hydrant & standpipe systems shall first be approved by the Wash - inton Survey and Rating Bureau, then by.the Tukwila Fire Department'. 4. Fire extinguishers shall be provided per NFPA #10, as a minimum requirement... Per OSHA requirements, extinguishers with a gross weight of 40 pounds or less shall be hung so that the top of the extinguisher is not higher than 60 . inches above the floor.. Extinguishers weighing more than 40 pounds, shall be hung so that the . top of the unit is not higher than 42 inches above the floor. Extinguishers shall be located so as to be in plain view (if at all possible.). If not in plain view, they shall be •identifiecl with a sign stating, "FIRE EXTINGUISHER" with an arrow pointing. 5. Where the unsupported distance between stiffening elements exceeds 25 times the wall thickness for bearing walls and 36 times the wall thickness for non - bearing walls, reinforcement shall conform to Section 2610 (q) 4.
