SUFFICIENCY RATING
The Sufficiency Rating (SR) is a numeric value with indicates a bridge's relative ability to serve its intended purpose. The value ranges from 100 for
a bridge in new condition to 0 for a bridge incapable of carrying traffic. The SR is a summation of calculated values representing Structural
Adequacy and Safety, Serviceability and Functional Obsolescence, and Essentiality for Public use.
• Structural Deficiency (SD) means that the bridge's Condition or design or has impacted its ability to carry the intended traffic loads.
• Functional Obsolescence (FO) means that a bridge can no longer provide the intended level of service for a particular roadway.
