ORDINANCE NO 538 AN ORDINANCE FIXING TIE SALARIES AND COMPENSATIONS OF OFFICZAIS AND EMPLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF TUEITILL, AND REPELLING ALL ORDINANCES S IN CONFLI T ':'H!=•,_ WITH
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUK•JIL2 as follows:
Section 1. That the salaries and compensations of the various officers and
employees of the City of Tukwila are hereby set and fixed as follows for the
year 1969.
Clerk Minimum 5,400.00 Maxim um 6,600.00 per year
Deputy Clerk Minimum 4,500.00 6,000.00 per year
Utilities Clerk
General Superintendent 9,504.00 per year
Field Superintendent 9,147.00 per year
Maintenance Man 1 7,899.00 per year
Maintenance Man 2 7,899.00 per year
Maintenance Man 3 7,555.00 per year
Maintenance han 4 7,128.00 per year
Mechanic 8,337.0 per year
Chief of Police 9,300.00 per year
Police Officer yr' 1 8,374.00 per year
Police Officer 2 7,996.00 per year
Police Officer 3 7,632.00 per year
Police Officer i/ 4 7,314.00 per year

Police Clerk Matron Minimum 5,400.00 6,086.00 per year

Extra labor shall be on a sliding scale from $1 .65 to $2.75 for clerical work
and $25.00 per shift for patrolmen.
Section 2. That salaries with minimum and maximum amounts shall be determined by
department heads depending on previous experience and ability.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR this 16th day of December, 1968.
