Description of Incident
Working Washington has applied for and was granted a Special Event Permit to
conduct an organized march through Tukwila. This is part of a larger march from
SeaTacto Seattle.Drivers in the area should expect traffic delays along the following
route.
The march will enter Tukwila on Tukwila International Blvd (Hwy 99) near the Sound
Transit Station on Southcenter Blvd at approximately 10:30 A.M. They will take the right
lane of Hwy 99 as they proceed northbound. Theywill turn right on S. 112 St., left on E.
Marginal Way S. then right on Boeing Access Rd. They will proceed eastboundand
crossoverI-5. They will turn left on Martin Luther King Way Sand proceed northbound
in the right lane as they leave the City of Tukwila at approximately 12:30 P.M.
Tukwila Police will provide traffic control and assist the marcherstoget through our city
safely. We are working with the adjoiningcities to coordinate our response.
