ORDINANCE NO. 535
An Ordinance amending Sections 1 and 2 of
City of Tukwila 1965 Budget Ordinance 497
WHEREAS, certain expenses have arisen in the operation of the City which
could not reasonably have been forseen at the time of the adoption of the 1965
Budget Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, revenue from the issuance of building permits and from water
and sewer seirvrice charges hat been received in excess of anticipated revenue, and
WHEREAS, emergencies have arisen in the operation of the water and sewer
departments due to a greater than anticipated growth in customer services.
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Tukwila
as follows:
City of Tukwila 1968 Budget Ordinance ,#497 is amended as follows:
SECTION 1, Revenues
Subsection II Licenses Permits, item Permits under the classification Current
Expense is increased from $15 to $26,360.00._
Subsection VII Utilities, item Sale of Water under the classification Water
Fund is increased from $35,052.00 to $42,052.00.
Subsection VII Utilities item Sewer and Metro Charges under the classification
Sewer Fund is increased from $49,414,60 to $54,414.60.
SECTION 2, Expenditures
Subsection II Maintenance Operation, title Contractural Services, item
331 Professional Fees under classification General Government is increased from
$5,000.00 to $9,020.00 and a new item Health Services is added in the amount of
$2,780.00.
Subsection II Maintenance Operation, title Contractural Services, item
331 Professional Fees under classification Building Department is increased from
$4,000.00 to $7

Subsection II Maintenance Operation, title Other Expenses, item 373 Court
Costs under classification Traffic Violations Bureau is increased from $600.00 to
$1,800.00.
Subsection II Maintenance and Operation under classification Water Department
title Materials Supplies, item 360 Cost of Water is increased from $20,000.00 to
$25,330.00.
Title Other Expenses, item 374 Taxes and Assessments is increased from $1,300.00 to
$1,850.00.
Subsection IV Debt Redemption under classification Water Department,
Item Principal is increased from $1,000.00 to $2,000.00.
Item Interest is increased from $320.00 to $440.00.
Subsection II Maintenance Operation under classification of Sewer Department,
Title Contractural Services
Item 326 Heat, Tight Power is increased from $125.00 to $475.00.
Item 331 Professional Services is added in the amount of $2,000.00.
Item 340 Metro Charges is increased from $15,000.00 to $16,500.00.
Title Materials Supplies
Item 354 Chemicals is increased from $700.00 to $1,200.00.
Item 361 Materials M,aintenance is added in the amount of $650.00.
