SUBJECT: Confirmation of Department Director
Department of Community Development
It is with great pride and pleasure that I submit for your confilination the appointment of
Jack Pace as Director of the Department of Community Development
After graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Urban Planning,
Jack served as an Associate Planner for the City of Covallis, Oregon for 6 years and
worked as a Planner for Clatsop County for four years.
Jack's career with the City of Tukwila began in 1986 when he hired on as a Senior
Planner. He was promoted to Planning Manager in 1997 and to Deputy Director of
Community Development in 2002. He has served as Acting_ DCD Director since April
19, 2007.
Jack's work has exemplified his commitment to making Tukwila a better place to live
and work. I look forward to your confitiuing him as Tukwila's newest Director of
Community Development
