HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0521 - Condemnation of Certain Property for Street ImprovementsCITY OF As TUKWILA ORDINANCE NO. ___3iJ 0 1 AN ORDINANCE relating to and providing for the condemnation of certain property rights within the City of Tukwila, and providing for payment therefore. WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 515, adopted April 1, 1968, the City Council of the City of Tukwila ordered the improvement of portions of South 175th Street by reconstructing and relocating the street; and WHEREAS, the public necessity and convenience demand that certain private property be condemned or damaged in order to effectuate the purposes of Ordinance 515 in creating a roadway of adequate dimension, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tukwila do ordain as follows: Section 1, The condemnation or damaging, or both, of the real property described in Exhibit "A attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof and incorporated herein, situated in the City of Tukwila, King County, Washington, is hereby authorized for the purposes of road improvement. Section 2. The entire costs of the acquisition of said land and easements shall be paid from the Urban Arterial Board Fund and by special assessment against those lands benefitted by the improvement provided for in Ordinance No. 515. Section 3. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to begin and prosecute the actions and proceedings in the manner provided by law to condemn, take, damage and appropriate the lands and other property necessary and to carry out the provisions of this Ordinance.
