Mullet, Mayor *1- /908 To: City Council From: Mayor Mullet Re: Appointments/Reappointments to Human Services Advisory Board, Arts Commission and Lodging Tax Advisory Board Date: July 16, 2007 Human Services Advisory Board: Position #4, Elda Mercado. The term in this position expired 4/30/2007. Ms. Mercado would like to be reappointed. Her new term will expire April 30, 2010. Position #1 (health representative): Susan Walberg recently moved out of the City and resigned her position on the Board. Please see the attached application of Terra Straight, who has applied to fill this vacancy. This is a three -year term, expiring April 30, 2010. Arts Commission: Please see the attached application for Trisha Gilmore, who has applied to fill the current vacancy in Position #4 (Resident) of the Arts Commission. Her term in this unexpired position will expire on December 31, 2008. Lodging Tax Advisory Board: There are currently two vacancies: Meilee Anderson resigned her position when she left Comfort Suites and was hired by Seattle Southside. Please see the attached application of Mr. Brad Knutson. Mr. Knutson is the General Manager of the Homewood Suites and will fill the vacancy in Position #3 (business collecting the tax). Craig O'Neill, Marketing Director of the Museum of Flight, left the Museum and resigned his position. Please see the attached application of Mhairi Voelsgen. Ms. Voelsgen is the current Marketing Director for the Museum of Flight and will fill the vacancy in Position #8 (business funded by the tax). Unless I hear otherwise from members of the City Council before July 27, I will invite these citizens to an upcoming Regular City Council meeting to have these appointments confirmed.
