ORDINANCE NO. 57 7
AN ORDINANCE granting a height: variance
to certain property within the City of
Tukwila.
WHEREAS, the property described herein is classified by Ordinance No. 251,
as amended by Ordinance No. 514, as R -4, low- density apartments, and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have petitioned the Planning Commission
of the City of Tukwila for the issuance of a height variance to permit the
construction of an apartment house consisting of eight floors, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission and the City Council have both held
public hearings on this requested variance and both bodies have recommended that
said request be granted, and
WHEREAS, the granting of said request would be in the interests of health,
safety, morals, and general welfare and would be in harmony with the general
purposes and intent and in accordance with the general and special rules contained
in Ordinance No. 251, as amended, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DO ORDAIN as follows:
The following described property is hereby granted a variance to permit the
construction of an eight -story apartment house, consisting of seven floors of
apartments and one floor of parking:

tion to Seattle, according to plat there-
of recorded in Volume 10 of plats, page
55, records of King County, Washington,
as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of said
Lot 18, thence South 89 °47' East along the
South line thereof 413.80 feet to the
Northwest corner of Lot 17 of said plat,
thence North 0 West parallel with the
West line of said Lot 18, 30.0 feet, thence

71 °33'30" East 129.78 feet to the East line
of the West 482.0 feet of said Lot 18, thence
North 0 °15' West 63.4 feet to the North line of
said Lot 18, thence North 89 °47' West along

Northwest corner of said Lot 18, thence South
0 °15' East along the West line thereof 330.0
