HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0512 - City Attorney Authorized to Institute Condemnation Proceedings for Acquisition a le CITY iaoe QF TUK WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 512 L AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City Attorney to institute condemnation action for the acquisition of land for road improvement and the acquisition of utility easements. WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 503, adopted December 18, 1967, the City Council of the City of Tukwila ordered the improve- ment of portions of South 180th Street and South Center Parkway and the installation of utility pipes and lines along South 180th and South Center Parkway; and WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila has been unable to acquire certain of these lands and easements by purchase, now, therefore, the City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington, do ordain as follows: The City Attorney is hereby authorized to institute condemnation proceedings to acquire property and easements as de- scribed in Exhibit' attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof and incorporated herein. PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of Tukwila, Washington, at a regular meeting thereof, this 4th day of March, 1968. And less the East 30 feet and less road on South.' *For Road Improvement That portion if any, of Parcel "A" that lies within the limits of a strip of land 72 feet in width, the centerline of which is described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North -South centerline of Section 35, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M., a distance of 0.20 feet North of the SW corner of the North 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 35; thence Easterly along the arc of a curve to the left, with a radius of 143.24 feet, the radial point of which bears North 5°09'41" East, through a central angle of 3 °00'04" an arc distance of 7.50 feet to a point of tangency; said point being on the South line of the North 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 35; thence South 87 °50'09" East along said South line 1548.29 feet to a point of curve; thence along the arc of a curve to the left having a radius of 477.42 feet, thru a central angle of 34 °30'00 an arc distance of 287.50 feet to a point of tangency; thence North 57 °39'51" East 81.84 feet to a point of curve; thence along the arc of a curve to the right, having a radius of 440.74 feet, through a central angle of 78 °00', an arc distance of 600.00 feet to a point of reverse curve; thence along the arc of a curve to the left,- having a radius of 315.13 feet, through a central angle of 44 °26'10" an arc distance of 244.40 feet to.a point of tangency on the South line of Government Lot 1, Section 36, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; thence South 88 °46'19" East along said South line to the thread of the Green River. TOGETHER WITH a 15 foot wide permanent utility easement abutting and running parallel with each side of the above described 72 foot strip.
