WHEREAS th Public Works services provided in our community are h
_J an i ntegral part of the daily lives of our citizens; and
WHEREAS, the efficient and effective provision of these services
greatly enhances the health, safety, and welfare of our community; and s'`==,
0 r WHE quality and effectiveness in the design and construction of y=
public facilities and m the provision of public services is vitally dependent r,
on the knowledge, skills, and dedication of the Public Works staff and �n
officials in the City of Tukwila; and
v y WHEREAS, the support of the community and the understanding of r�

the importance of the work performed by Public Works staff materially
influences their ability to respond to the needs of the citizens,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Steven M. Mullet, Mayor of the City of Tukwila, r�
i do hereby proclaim May 20 through May 26, 2007, with this year's theme J

National Public Works Week
in the City of Tukwila, and I invite all citizens and civic organizations to acquain
themselves with the challenges confronted in the daily provision of public works
y services in our community and to recognize the daily contributions our Public
Works Department staff make to our health, safety and quality of life.
