Meeting was called to order at Vne hour of 8;45 P.M. Present; Joel Shomaker- -M Del Adelphia, John 0. Wold, J.M.Hall, R.H.Heath and J.W.Wilson, Council::aen. Minutes of the last' Regular and Special Meetings read and approved. The Mayor appointed an auditing committee, `onsisti.r. of J.H.Hall Del Adelphia and John 0. Y ►old, whose duties it shall Ge t audit; all bills presented for payment. Motion_ was nude, seconded and carried, unanimously, to drop the idea of dividing th.e Town into Wards-, except theoretically, for the urpose of representation. Ordinances Nbs. 12• and 13, for the creation of Iurprove;i ent Dis- t. cts Nos. 3 and 4, passed on their first reading. :The petition for a sidewalk through private property was referred '_'back to the petitioners, with the information that the Council had no 'poiver -t.o act in the premises. A resolution was adopted, condemning the old sidewalk between_ Riverside and Kenny Avenues on Hillman Boulevard, for-the reason that the same is a menace to life and limb. It was also resolved by the Council to build a railing on both sides; of the new sidewalk along Hillman Boulevard in front front of Lot 30, Block 4, The Cornrnittee on Light reported, but no definite conclusions were arrived at. Acting upon a suggestion by Mr. Adelphia, the CoLtvni t tee was ordered to confer with the Snoqualmie Light cue Power Co. w ith a view to getting -a line extended from Renton to Tukwila, for public and domestic use of light, and report, to the council at its next meting. Mr. Gunter, a resident of Tukwila, appeared before the Council and asked for steps to be put in, leading from Highland Drive up to Riverside Avenue; referred to Committee on Streets and Alleys. Clerk ordered to post notices regarding the payment of dog tax.
