S P E C I A L M E E T I N G O
October 30th, 1908, Tukwila, Washngton.
A Special Meeting of the -Town Council was held on the above date,
at the residence of Mr. H.Wiederman. Meeting was called to order bv
-th 6 Mayor at the hour of 8:00 P.M.
Present. Joel Shomaker, Mayor
Del Adelphia,
J.M.Hall,
J.W.Wilson,
Jno. O. Wold and
R.H.Heath, Councilmen.

Petitions were `received askin for the-creation of Im rovement

3';`r4tr and =5 -and, upon motion duly made "and seconded, the Petitions
were _granted; and _the .clerk was.-ordered to prepare" and have published
notices of the intent of the Council to create such Improvement Dis-
tricts.
The question -of grading what is known as Parker Hill was
"brought under discussion; and it was finally decided that the Entire
Town Council, as a Committee, should go over the ground and decide,
if possible ,-the best way of making a reasonable grade to the County
Road, the time of,meeting being set for Sunday, next,'at 2:00 P.M.
A preliminary, rough draft of an Ordinance, creating five wards
out of the.. Town of Tukwila, was intr6duced by Mr: Heath, and after,
some_d1scussion "it was unanimously decided to accept Mr. Heath's
mrdinance', to such modifications and alterations as might
seem best for the general good.

notices to effect; said election being for the purpose of electing
a Mayor, Treasurer and five councilmen a
An appropriation was asked for by Mr. Adelphia, for the removing
of rock from Hillman Boulevard in order that a sidewalk might be
.-_,laid. The amount asked for was 47.00, and after some discussion the
same was allowed, Hall, Wilson.and Adelphia voting in the affirmative,
__Heath iri- negative and Wold not voting.
By a unanimous vote the Clerk was ordered to procure 50 tags
.,for'.dog licenses.
Mr. Weiderman was tendered a vote of thanks for the use of his
-,house, :has .a meeting place for the Town Council.
