A special meeting of the', Town Council was held on the above date,
at the resAdence of the Mayor, Meeting was called of order -at the; hour
of 8 :10 PoMe by the Mayor.
There were present;
Joel Shomaker, Mayor
Jno. O.Wold,
J.M.Hall,
Del Adelphia,
J.M.Wilson,
R.H.Heath, Councilmen.
The Mayor made a statement showing the growth of the City to date,:
under incorporation. Said report shows good, tangible progress, in
the face of more or less opposition.
Ordinance No. relating to tax levy, Ordinance No. 9 creating
Improvement District No. 1, and Ordinance No.10, creating Improvement___
District No. 2; also Ordinance No. .8, relating to Peddlers, Hucksters=;
Theaters, etc., were unanimously adopted on their third reading,
ordered published.
Ordinance No. 11 was passed.on its first reading and laic ove yr=

a Weekly Newspaper, was unanimously adopted as the._Official =Pa,rr
the Town of Tukwila.
The bill of Koll Peters prin having been approved by
the Finance Committee, Warrant was ordered r_awn thereof.
Messrs. Wold &Hall were.a pointed a.Conmittee`to look,iAto ahe
matter of a lighting. proposition,

It was moved and seconded that the Clerk ,be appointed' regulern2.7'
Purchasing Agent for the Town. After some discussion the'mat spas W
put to vote and carried, Heath dissenting.
Mr. Adelphia introduced the subject of vacating a. certain- 5 ree-
for the purpose of inducing a Quarry Company to locate in the_Tow
After a thorough discussion pro and con, the following resolution
was unanimously adopted
Resolved: Be it resolved by the Town Council of the -Town of 3
wila, that we unanimously favor the project, as set forth Mr.
Adelphia, with the understanding -that all legal requirements and ques-
-ions for the protection of the interests of the Town are satisfactori
ly arranged.
Upon motion regularly made and seconded, it was unanimously
decided ,o adjourn to the Second Tuesday it Octobef

refusing petition, for new school district for TUKWILA, taking the district
from school district: No 144,
