Tuk*ila Yashington August 18, 1908,
A Special Meeting of the Town .Council was 'Held an the above date.
The Meeting was called to order by the Mayor at the hour of
8 :00 P.M.
Present:
Joel Shomaker, Mayor
J. bl. Hall,
R.H.Heath,
Jno, 0. Wold, and
J. W. Wilson, Councilm en.
�By motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously voted to
grant�:•.to W.P.Bush a permit to burn a slashing on Tract No 15,
-Seat.tle =Land Company's Five Acre Tracts, under the usual restrictions
Clerk- was ordered t issue the permit.
The subject of -a tax came before.the Council for its
cti ®n, but after discussing "the matter it was decided to call a
special" -'mass °=meeting of :-the residents of Tukwila, to be held at the
school house :':on Saturday eventhg- August 22nd, when a referendum
s FOae WOUld .be taken to decide how much/ of a, levy, that `is; how many
���Miii on -the Dollar it would be advisable to levy. -The Clerk was
ordered to.publish notices to that effect.
Mr.. J. G. Hopkins.was appointed by the Mayor, and the
:appointment ratified by.the Council, as a delegate to represent
