November 9, 1822.
The regular monthly meeting of the of the Town of Tukwila
was called to order by the Mayor at 8:15 P.M. There were present, Mayor E. F.
Green, Councilmen F. J. Klein, H. E. Ives, and M. L. Holmes; Councilmen W. F.
Engel and C. G. Sanders being absent.
The minutes of the last meeting were read by the Clerk, and
approved as read.
B I L L S
The following bills were read by the Clerk, and after being oked
by the Finance Committee it was moved, seconded, and carried that they be paid
and warrants drawn for their respective amounts:

COI&UN I CATIONS
The Town Treasurer's report for the month of October was read by
the Clerk and ordered placed on file.
A communication from the Pacific Telephone Telegraph Co. request-
ing permission to install a pole within the limits of Tukwila was read by the
Clerk. The Mayor ordered the request granted.
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES
Streets and Sidewal Councilman Klein.
the streets throughout the town are in fairly good condition.
There are a number of sidewalks, however, that are in bad shape and should be
repaired at once. The matter was referred to the Street Committee.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ordinance No. 96 fixing the place of meeting for the To*n Council
:was read by ..the Clerk. Moved and seconded that Ordinance No. 96 be adopted as
.read. Motion carried.
Ordinance No. 97 fixing the compensation of the Town Treasurer was
recd by the-Clerk. Moved and seconded that Ordinance No. 87 be adopted as read.
Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
Several citizens a1.peared before the Council and protested against
the amounts of the bills for constructing the sidewalk along the Pacific Highway.
This matter was referred to the Town Engineer.
After some discussion regarding street lights it was moved and
seconded that additional street lights be installed as followst
One on Riverside Avenue opposite the dividing line between
tracts 39 and 40 of the Brookdale Garden Addition
One at the intersection of First and Maule Avenues, and
One on Maule Avenue halfway between First Avenue and the
Interurban Station.
Motion carried.
The question of regulating heavy traffic over various streets of
the torn during the winter season was brought up and discussed at length. It was
noved and seconded that the Clerk be instructed te. draw up an Ordinance regulating
:ra.ffic over certain streets within the town during the winter period. Motion
carried.
The question of forcing collections of delinquent local assessments
was again brought up, and after some discussion it was Moved and seconded that
the Clerk be empowered to proceed with the collection of all delinquent assessments in the torn, Motion carried. sidewalk
It was requested that the cross walk on Riverside Avenue between
Tukwila Avenue and Highland Drive be re laced. The
