October 12, 1922.
The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila
was called to order by the Mayor at 8:30 P. M. There were present Mayor E. F.
Green, Councilmen W. F. Engel, E. G. Sanders, and H. E. Ives; Councilmen
M. V. Lemon and M. L. Holmes being absent.
The minute's of the last meeting were read and approved.

The following bills were rend by the Clerk and after being oked by
the Finance Committee it was moved, seconded, and carried that they be ordered
paid and warrants drawn for their respective amcuats:

COM201UN ICATIONS
The town Treasurer's report was read by the Clerk and ordered placed
on file.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ordinance No, 94 granting a franchise to the Lighting Department of
Seattle to construct a pole line through the town was read by the Clerk. Moved
and seconded that the Ordinance be adopted. Motion carried.
Ordinance No. 95 fixing the tax levy for the ensuing year was read
by the Clerk. Moved and seconded the ordinance be adopted. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
The Mayor stated that inasmuch as Councilman Lemon had been absent
from the Council meetings for more than three consecutive meetings he had therefore
declared that office vacant and appointed Mr. F. J. Klein to fill this seat until
the next regular election. Moved and seconded that the ap piatment be ratified
by the Council. Motion carrier.
The Council held a. general discussion regarding the drainage situation
on the Flat, as well as gravelling various streets throughout the torn. No
action was taken however.
