Tukwila, Washington,
June 24, 1921.
A Special meeting of the Torn Council of Tukwila was held at the residence
of Mr. C. P. Jensen, Treasurer.
All members of the Council were present, and the meeting was called to order
by the Y.eyor'at the hour of 8 :25 P. M., the Iy yor stating that the meeting
had been called at the request of Mr. Jensen to discuss finances.
Mr. Jensen stated that the expectations of his office, based on past
experience, of n;or -ey resulting from taxes to be paid into the Treasury
on or before the first of June, had not been realized, and that on that
account -%Ihare were outstanding warrants in the amount of approximately
$950.00, amd he suggested that a loan be made to rat., these warrants,
After quite a. lengthy discussion it was regularly moved, seconded and
carried that the 'Mayor and Treasurer be empowered to :cake a loan of not
to exceed 41,000.00.
It also developed during the discussion that a very lard proportion of
these outstanding warrants was due to sidewalk work which will eventually
find its way back to the Treasury as the interested property owners pay
their assessments for this worm.
No further business appearing meeting adjourned at 9:50 P. 1-

School Committee. Councilman Engel reported the Bond Election mentioned
at last Meeting had been held and that the bonds had
carried. pork progressing as rapidly as possible.
Unfinished Business: The matter of a Fire Extinguisher was brought up and
after some discussion referred to Finance committee
to report at next meeting.
Fatter of the sidewalk on Bluff Street 'Drought up
and after some discussion it was moved and seconded that
the Committee be instructed to build this walk on its
present site and the Clerk be instructed to draw a
resolution in accordance, this motion carried.
The rayor ordered a meting of the Ways and Paeans committee to
meet on Sunday, June 12th at 11:00 A. M., to look over the Bluff
Street proposition.
