Klein at 8:25 P. M. There were present .Councilmen F. J. Klein, W. F. Engel, M. V. Lemon, C. Sanders, and H. E. Ives, Mayor E. F. Green being absent. Councilman F. J. Klein presided. Clerk E. E. Lutz 'being absent Councilman tij. F. Engel was appointed Clerk Pro Tem. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. B IL L S The following bills were read and after being approved by the Finance Committee it was moved, seconded, and carried, that they be paid and warrants drawn for their respective amounts: 1919 Bond Fund Chas. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Councilmen Sandere reported at length on the school situation to the effect that inasmuch as previous bonds were defeated the school directors were Con- sidering holding an election for a bond issue as follows: For Tukwila $10,000.00 Riverton 10,000.00 Foster 13,000.00 Thorndyke 2,000.00 making a total bond issue of $35,000.00. The matter of obtaining fire apparatus for the town was brought up and ordered laid over until the next meeting. Councilman Klein reported that he had been informed that fir. Smith wants the town to lay the sidewalk beside his property on Highland Drive. Mr. Frank McDonald appeared before the Council and requested that Riverside Avenue on the Fiat be filled as far as Pacific Highway. q hwa R e quest -y'-e r' ;P r� hwt Concilman Lemon brought up the question of wages paid for day labor by then town, and it was moved that a standard rate of $4.00 per day be paid for all labor.
