SUBJECT: Foster Golf Links Irrigation System Filter Replacement

Proiect Completion and Acceptance
BACKGROUND
As per the 2006 Capital Improvement Project Budget, the City's Foster Golf Link Irrigation
System Filters have been replaced. This special filter system keeps the irrigation system's
pumps and lines clear of debris to allow safe pumping and proper irrigation of the golf
course. The filter system is needed because the water is being pumped from a pond rather
than from the City's potable water system.
The contract was awarded to Golf Pumping Services in the amount of $37,655.68 (WSST
included). The project began on Friday, June 9, 2006 and was completed on Monday, June
27, 2006. The contract costs are summarized as follows:

DISCUSSION:
The action recommended below will authorize the release of the 5% retention amount
($1,730.50) to Golf Pumping Services.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommend completion and acceptance of the Foster Golf Links Irrigation System Filter
Replacement Project and authorize release of 5% retention bond subject to standard claim
and lien release procedures.

Mr. Rick Still indicated that it is being recommended the completion and acceptance of Foster Golf
Links Irrigation System Filter Replacement project and the authorization to release the retention bond.
He noted that no change orders were submitted for this project. Unanimous approval, forward to
regular council meeting.
