January 27, 1921,
A Special meeting of the Town Council was held at the residence of the Mayor
on the above date, pursuant to notice its due time and form,
Meeting was called to order by the iliayor at the hour of 8;80 P,At, There
were present; Councilmen, H,E. Ives, F.W.Engel, M.V. Lemon and F.J, Klein , and
the Mayor, E. F. Greene. Also present upon invitation, was Mr. C. P. Jense4
Treasurer,
The Clerk being absent, Mr. Klein was appointed Clerkpro tam,
The various subjects to be discussed were taken up in theorderin which they
appeared in the notice.
The matter of surfacing Fain street between Tukwila Avenue and Clarence
Avenue, also a portion of Tukwila Avenue, was discussed at length, finally
resulting, upon motion regularly made and carried, to drag Main Street as
soon as feasible, then close the street until fairly dry, and then surface
with gravel from School House hill or from Mr, Stewart's place, complet-
ing Tukwila Avenue-at the same time,
A lengthy discussion was then had regarding sidewalks, which resulted finally
as follows; To amxa#rxak ro construct the walk on the Worth side of Tukwila
Avenue from Riverside Avenue to Rainier Avenue; A sidewalk from Tukwila
Avenue along the Last side,of Kenny Boulevard to approximately fir, fluff's
gate to be constructed; tc�- ;construct a sidewalk on the North side of
Highland Drive from Main Street to Riverside Avenue. All of the above to
be constructed in accordance with existing ordinance regarding sidewalks.
To construct a sidewalk of concrete, six feet wide, on the Ciest side of the
Pacific Highway North .four. hundred (400) feet from gain Street. The Clerk
was instructed to draw up the proper Blanket Resolution covering the above
improvements and present at the next regular Council meeting.
The improvement of Outlet Avenue as contemplated by the Street Committee,
was laid over until the next regular meeting.
Resolution regarding an appeal I from the Superior Court of King County to the
.Supreme Court of the State of 4 ashington of the case of Smith and Fielding
vs, the Town of Tukwila was laid over until the next meeting.
No further business appearing, a motion to adjourn carried,
