HomeMy WebLinkAbout1921-01-11 Regular MinutesE s Tukwila., Washington. January 11, 1921. The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor at 8:20 P. M. There were present, Mayor E. F. Green,' .Councilmen F. J. Klein, A. J. Erickson, W. F. Engel, and M. V. Lemon. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. REPORTS OF CDEU TTEES: Street Committee. Councilman Engel. Owing to bad weather and lack of funds there has been no street work 'done on the hill during the past month. With reference to the work needed on Main Street and Tukwila Avenue it is estimated that it will take one hundred yards of gravel to complete thework on these two streets. is BILLS__: The following bills were read by the Clerk and after being oked by the Finance Committee it was moved, seconded, and carried that they be paid and warrants .drawn for their respective amounts, General Fund John Chri stenson, Tukwila Y 66.90 John Walkup 6.75 Chas. ManstAr, Seattle _r:.00 Peacock Printing Co. 6.50 C. P. Jensen Tukwila 26.24 E. E. Lutz n 10.00 PuSet Sound Power Light Co., Seattle 27.20 Jones, Riddell Brackett 71 Total COMMUNICATIONS: The Treasurer's annual report for the town vas read by the Clerk and ordered placed on file. The Town Clerk's annual report was read and ordered placed on file. A letter from Jones, Riddell Brackett with reference to the recent lawsuit between the town and Smith Fielding was read by the Mayor, and after some discussion it was moved And seconded that the judgement, of the Superior Court be accepted as final, and that no appeal be taken at this time. Motion carried. A communication from I. G. J'Harra, representative for this district, was read. The Clerk was instructed to answer same thanking him for his co- operation. A communication from the automobile club of Western Washington was read by the Clerk and ordered placed on file. A communication from Stevens Koon regarding the installation of a water !system was read by the Clerk. Moved and seconded that the matter be referred to the. new Council. Motion carried. "UNFINISHEll BUSINESS y The street work on the Fiat was brought up, and after some discussion Councilman Klein reported that no work had been done up to the present time on account .of bad weather, but he expected to commence work within the next few days. No further business occuring the Mayor made a few remarks thanking the retiring Council for their assistance and cot-operation during the past year, and the !!Council adjourned at 9:20 P. M.
