December 9th, 1920. c) A F7 i The regular monthly meetin„ of the Council of the Town of .Tukwila was ,'called to order by the Mayor at 8 :15 P. M. There were present Mayor E. F. Green, :'Councilmen F. J. Klein, A. J. Erickson, W. F. Engel, M. V. Lemon, and J. G. Hopkins.' The Mayor declared a recess to allow Mr. Koon of Portland, Oregon, to address the Council on proposition of installing a water system in the Town of Tukwila. The Council was again called to order and the minutes of the last meeting !read and approved. :;REPORTS OF COIN TTEES: Street Committee. Councilman Engel. Gravel has been spread on a portion of Fain Street and Tukwila Avenue,` but on account of a lack of funds the•w@rk has not been completed and more gravel will be needed before the streets named will be in a passable condition. M and seconded that Councilman Engel investigate these two streets as to how much additional work will be necessary, and report at the next meeting. Notion carried. BILLS,- The following bills were read by the Clerk and after being 0. K.'d by the Finance Committee it was moved, seconded, and carried that they be paid end warrants drawn for the respective amounts: General Fund Mrs. T. Henke Miss G. Clemans J. M. Hall A. E. Total GRAND TOTAL 25.00 58.75 17.50 218.00 _t319.25 $586.43 COMMUNICATIONS: The report of the Town Treasurer was read and ordered placed on file. UNFINISHED BUSINESS The election committee was called upon and they reported that at an election held December 7th the following officers were elected,- For Mayor E.F. Green for a term of two years. For Councilmen C. Sanders and H. E. Ives for a term of two years each. For Treasurer C. P. Jensen for a term of one year. The Mayor declared the above officers to be elected and instructed the .:Clerk to notify them to be present at the next regular meeting to take office. Councilmen Erickson reported that more work was needed on Bluff Street and recommended that a drain be put in and more gravel be furnished. The matter was; 'referred to the Street Committee. Councilman Erickson reported that the culvert on Hazel Avenue needed repair- ing and stated if given permission by the Council he would repair same immediately. There being no objection sane was granted. After a Sneral discussion regarding street conditions throughout the town the Mayor called a meeting of the Nays Means Committee to be held on Sunday, December `12th, at which time they would go over the streets of the town and make recommien dations to be reported at the next meeting. 9AF7- December 9th, 19 (Conti.) It was moved and seconded that signs be placed at both ends of the walk on the Pacific Highway notifying the public that the walk had been condemned. Motion carried. .'after some discussion it was moved and seconded that the former motion be reconsidered and the walk be removed in accordance with a motion passed at a former meeting.
