The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor at 8 :15 P.M. There were present Mayor E. F. Green, Councilmen, A. J. Erickson, W. F. Engel, and F. J. Klein. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. REPORTS OF CO.ZlITTEES: None. CONAMNI CATIO Town Treasurer's report was read by Clerk and ordered placed on file. The communication of several citizens asking for repairs on the Flat 'was read by the Clerk and referred to new business. Resignation of Frank McDonald as Pound Master read and referred to new ;business. Resignation of J. B. Total $5.00 3.75 27.210 1.00 26.95 UNFINISHFA) BUSINESS The gravelling, of Main Street and various other streets throughout the tom was brought up and after a discussion by the entire Council Mr. S. H. Stevens offered a proposition that if the Council would e-Tend the sun of $50.00 to gravel the corner ct Tukwila avenue and Kinney Boulevard he would contribute the sum of $25.00 toward this work. A motion was thin made and seconded that the Council expend not to exceed $50.00 to improve with gravelling the corne2a of Tukwila Avenue and Kinney Boulevard. Motion carried. Moved and seconded th €,t bids be called for to .gravel Main Street and Tukwila Avenue ::nd that a special meeting be called to open these bids. Motion carried. Ng, BUSINESS Moved end seconded that the resignation of Mr. Frank McDonald as Pound ;Master be accepted. Motion carried. Moved and seconded the resignation of fir. J. B. Heemink as councilman be accepted. Motion carried. Communications asking for lights and gravel on several streets on the Flat was brought up and referred to the Street Coumittee. It was reported that several street lights Mere not burning in various parts of the town. The matter was referred to the Light Committee. T bii i. of Denny.- Renton Coal Clay Co. for aerier pipe was brought up and was presented by the Clerk with a recommendation that an adjustment.be made on this bill and the matter settled. The was instructed to interview the abovej company regarding a settlement and report at the next meeting. The Mayor called a special meeting for Monday Jeptember 20th to draw up a budget for the coming year to discuss :street improvements and to arrange for construction of sidewalk on Pacific Highwa, No further business occurring the Council adjourned at 9 :30 P.
