MINUTED OF A SPECIAL IVETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL,
Tukwila, Washington,
August 19, 1920.
Meeting called to order by the Mayor at the hour of 8 :25 P.M.
The Mayor stated the meeting had been celled for the purpose of considering
Resolutions No. 17 and 18, and the gravelling of portions of Main Street and
Tukwila Avenue,
Resolution No. 17 had been prepared for adoption, but after due considera-
tion it was found that certain changes in its terms were necessary to conform
to the decision arrived at by members of the Street and Sidewalk Committee.
Accordingly, subject to those changes, additions and amendments, Resolution
No. 17, relating to the construction of a sidewalk along the Pacific Highway
through a portion of Block 15 was unanimously adopted.
Resolution No. 18, relating to the construction of a sidewalk on Tukwila
Avenue along Lot I and a portion of Lot 200 Block 1, A,G,Berg's Addition to the
Town of Tukwila, was then read, and after due consideration was unanimously
adopted.
The meeting then passed to a consideration of the gravelling of portions of
Main Street and Tukwila Avenue. The Mayor stated that the City Attorney had
given him an opinion to the effect that the Council would be well within its
rights to spend a reasonable amount of money in gravelling those portions of
Main Street and Tukwila Avenue which become impassable during the winter months.
Mr. Klein, Street 3uperintehdent stated that it would cost in the neighborhood
of three hundred and fifth dollars to make such improvement. Further considera-
tion of this question was laid over until the next regular meeting.
No further business appearing meeting adjourned at 9 :30 P.M.
