There ::ere present, Mayor E. F. Green, :'Councilmen, F.J. Klein, J. Erickson, J. B. Heemink, I.V. Lemon, and F. Engel. The minuto, of the last regular meeting ere read and approved. REPORTS OF CO iJTI Street Committee. Councilman Klein. There has been a small.wmount of general work done on the streets .during the past month and the cha:irmam recommended ti certain amount of new work which he considered advisable at this time. This matter wa.- laid over r e I,r brought up under new business. Health am S Committee. Councilm Engel. It has been reportea that there is a well on the Pearson property which is exposed and ina dangerous condition. Tha Street Committee was ordered to cover this well at once. C018:UNI CATI OIf S The treasurer's report was read by the Clerk and orderers placed on file. The report from the County Treasurer was read and orderel placed on file. FILLS: Tne following bills were read by the Clerk and after being 0. Lll tz 10.70 Puget Sound Power w Light Co. 27.20 Total W71.70 UNFINISHED BUSINES Councilman Klein, Chairman of the ;ways •c deans Committee, reported that the matter of drainage on the Stauffer property had been investigat9d, out advised no action at the present time. It xaa also reported a gutter was neede-t on Riverside Avenue, and the motion was made and sepondei th =at the Strer%tCommittee be instructed to install same.. Motion carried. N BUSINS.a The ma tter of the side,valk on the Pacific Highway was brought up, and resolution No. 15 condemning the present walk was read by the Clerk. After some discussion it was move; And seconded that the present walk be removed and a grade be established for a new walk at a meetins of the I',ays a- IMea.ns .Committee to be held on the Froperty in luestion on Friday evening Hu -ust 13th, at 7:zJ P. M. irc�tion carried, The Clerk was instructed to dray u_o a Resolution- ordering the construction of a new walk and present it At a special meeting to be held Thursday August 4th. Councilman Klein .�Ls ordered to present an estirra of the costs of this new walk at that meeting. The Clerk was also instructed to draw up resolution for the construction of a sidewalk from the dower end of the viaduct on rn Hill to the corner of the Berg property and to present it at the special me tinsz. Mr. C. .H. Stevens nppeaxed before the Council requesting information regard- ing the present condition o-" the lawsuit. between the Street Contractors _.nd. the.
