The regular monthly meeting of the town council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:40 P. M. There were present, :-ayo r, E. F. Councilmen, Green J. B. heemink A. J. Erickson G. Wallenberg F. J. Klein Councilman B. H. Kassner being absent. The minutes of the last regular meeting and special ;meeting were read and approved. REPORT OF COMMITTEES: StreetComaittee. Councilman Klein. The widewalks on Main Street have been completed. Smith Fielding, con tractors on the street work, have discontinued work. Owing to the rainy season about to set in the town has proceeded with the work of gravelling the streets. The drain tile for use on the Flat has not arrived and owing to the absence of Councilman hassner no information can be had regarding it. COZI- 1UNICAT A letter from Lee mionoh?n was read and ordered filed. The claim of a lien against the town was read and ordered referred to the town attorney. Thetreasurer's report read and ordered filed. BILLS. The following bills against the town were Puget Sound T. L. Power Co. Geor Lumber Co. C. P. Jensen A. F..Hall B. E;. Lutz, H. Neidemann F. McDonald 0. L. Vaughn C. Heyne A. Dollar MrF. E. Kinssley -otal read by the clerk, After being 0. K'd by the finance committee, the motion was duly made and carried, and the above bills were ordered paid and amounts drawn for the respective bills. UNFINI B USiI &S S. +arren Avenue was reported to be still in an unfinished condition, owing to the fact that the street superintendent had been unable to see all the adjoining property owners. The matter of obtaining drain tile for the Flat was again brought up and it was moved and seconded that Ccuncilman Klein get the pipe and install same at once. potion carried. the street work at Bergs Corner has not been completed as yet. The street committee was ordered to fix same at once. Mr. S. H. Stevens inquired regarding several sidewalks near his property and v►as informed that the-walks would be put in as soon as possible. Councilman Heemink asked for an explanation as to what the Council intended to do regarding the sidewalk. The Mayor gave a lengthy explennation of the whole case and after a general discussion between the members of the Council and several citizens present the matter was laid over until the next meeting to await further developements. 321 Report Oct. 9th, 1119. #2 NEW BUSINFESS Ordinance No. 87, fixing the tax levy for the year 1920 was read by the clerk. Moved and seconded that the levy be placed at ten mills, andthe Ordinance was passed. Motion carried. The matter of the town motorcycle was again brought up and Councilman Mein was ordered to make disposition of same at once. Mr. Wezork asked that Clarence Avenue be opened from Mall Avenue to Riverside, especially that portion not occupied by Mr. Wallenberg. After some discussion the matter was taken under advisement by the Mayor. The election committee was ordered to make preparations for the coming municipal election. No further business appearing the Caincil adjourned at 10:20 F. M.
