Yeeting was called td. order at the hour of 8 :35 P. P. There were present: E. F. Greene, J. B. Heemink A. J. Erickson G. W. Wallenberg B. H. Kassner F. J. Klein Mayo Councilmen. Mr. Lutz, Clerk, being absent, Mr. F. J. Klein was appointed Clerk pro tem. 14inutes of the last regular and special meetings were read and approved. Report& of Committees: Streets and Sidewalks, no report. Finance. Reportbd that money obtained as a result of the recent bond issue was now available. Ur. Heemink recommended that this money be placed at inter est until such time as it was needed in the Street improvements under way. After some discussion, during which it developed that 5% could obtained from, Price Company, upon motion duly made, :seconded and carried, the 16yor and Treasurer were instructed to make the necessary arrangements with Price and Company as ab�a�►e vh rNby five per cent could be earned by this money until it was needed. Fire, Police and Light, no report. Laws and Ordinances, no report Health and S no report. Corrrnunications read and ordered placed on file. Pound Easter's report read and ordered on file. Town Treasurer's monthly report read, accepted and ordered on file. Bills were read, referred to Finance Committee for auditing, and by that Committee O.K'd.as follows: Jones, Riddell and Brackett, legal services 075.00 C. Heynie, storage on Motorcycle 3 months 7.50 P S T L P Cormpgny, street lights 24.65 4 John Johnson, street work 19.00 John Klein, time surveying, 17.50 Paid for Blue Prints .84 8.34 E. E. Lutz, services as Clerk 5.00 Excelsior 14otorcycle Company, payments Lay June 50.00 Renton Lumber Company, bill of Sept. 30. 1918 82.00 J J. Parkinson, Hall rent, 7 meetings, to April 10, 1919 17,50J Walter Kassner, surveying, 7.75 v, Loxman Hanford, surveying material 2.00 1298.74 Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the foregoing bills were ordered paid. In accordance with resolution, adopted at a special meeting called for the purpose, rids were opened for the repair of the S. Lemon road,'adjacent to the MacDonald property, as fol.lous: Smith and Company $548.00 Peasley and Company 565.00 E. J. Fielding 502.75 A motion to accept the bid of E. J. Fielding carried, and the Clerk was instructed to prepare a contract to cover same. Mr. Heemink made a motion to put in proper drains on Main Street. This motion carried. 1:1r. MacDonald Is claim for damages and labor in connection with the same was read and after short discussion, upon motion regularly made, seconded and carried, it was laid over until next meeting. -1- 3i3 Resolution No. 12 was presented, read, and after discussion at length motion made and carried that that part referring to Reitz Avenuebe supplemented so as to read; ."Ownera of property abutting on said walk be notified that unless said walk shall have been completed on or before July 15th, 1919, the Town of Tukwila will commence said construction, etc., potion was then rnade that this Resolution No. 12, as amended by supplement as above be adopted. This motion was unanimously carried. Ordinance No. 84 was then placed on its first reading and carefully considerel and discussed. Certain minor amendments were recomriiended and, upon t iotion regulaft y made,seeonded and carried,this Ordinance No. 84, as amended, was passed and ordered published immediately upon execution by the Mayor and Clerk.
