A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, EXPRESSING SINCERE THANKS TO COUNCIL
MEMBER DAVID FENTON FOR HIS SERVICE AS A COUNCILMEMBER.
\
WHEREAS, Dave was first elected to the Tukwila City Council in November 1997
and took office January 5, 1998, chaired the Finance and Safety Committee his first year;
served as Council President his second year; and served on a number of other
committees, including the first Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Program,
and the first Hot Spots meetings and programs, and
WHEREAS, Dave's extensive knowledge of the computer industry helped move
the City closer to being connected through telecommunications; and
WHEREAS, Dave has represented the interests of Tukwila residents who live in
multi-family housing, and has owned and maintained one of the safest and most
attractive apartment complexes in Tukwila, and
WHEREAS, Dave developed excellent relationships with a variety of government
and business associates, and has helped many citizens with various problems in a
caring and capable manner;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
On behalf of the citizens of Tukwila, the Mayor and Councilmembers express their
sincere thanks to Dave Fenton for his eight years of dedicated service as a City of
Tukwila Councilmember

at a Special Meeting thereof this 12th day of December, 2005
