Staff: Nora Gierloff, Community Development Deputy Director; Carol Lumb, Senior Planner; and
Kimberly Matej, Legislative Analyst
The Work Session consisted of presentations and discussions regarding the Council review of the Shoreline
Master Program (SMP). The Shoreline Master Program will regulate the area 200 feet from the ordinary high
water mark through the City and potential annexation areas. Specifically, the Work Session focused on the
Department of Ecology letter dated June 30, 2009 (currently in binders under DOE Comments tab). Dave
Radabaugh, Shoreline Planner with the Department of Ecology, attended the Work Session to assist with
discussion.
The next Work Session scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2009, will focus on review of Matrix B and
accompanying summary sheets which will be provided by staff. It is anticipated that Terry Moore of
ECONorthwest will also attend the meeting. ECONorthwest is conducting an analysis /response to the Gardner
Report.
