AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY COMMONLY
KNOWN AS THE METRO PARK RIDE LOT PURSUANT TO RCW
35.13.180 FOR THE MUNICIPAL PURPOSE OF PROVIDING
EFFICIENT POLICE AND FIRE PROTECTION TO THE SITE.
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle
(hereinafter "Metro currently has plans to develop a Park Ride
Lot on a site located at the intersection of Interurban Avenue and
52nd Avenue South and more particularly described on Exhibit A
attached hereto, and
WHEREAS, the Tukwila City Limits bisect the Park Ride Lot,
leaving a portion of the Lot in unincorporated King County, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the boundary
configuration on the Park Ride Lot greatly impairs the City's
ability to provide efficient police protection to the site and
that the property should therefore be annexed to the City in order
to provide for the fulfillment of this municipal purpose, and
WHEREAS, RCW 35.13.180 authorizes cities to annex territory
for municipal purposes when such territory is owned by the City or
when all owners of such territory consent to such annexation, and
WHEREAS, by letter dated January 30, 1986, Metro, as owner of
the Park Ride site, has expressed its consent to the property
being annexed for the municipal purpose of providing efficient
police and fire protection, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.93.110, the Chairman of the King
County Boundary Review Board has waived jurisdiction of the Board
over the annexation of the Park Ride Lot and the annexation is
therefore deemed approved by the Board pursuant to such statute,
and
WHEREAS, Metro, acting as lead agency for environmental
review of the annexation, issued a Determination of
Nonsignificance for the annexation on January 27, 1986, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Property Annexed. The real property commonly
known as the Metro Park Ride Lot annexation, located at the
intersection of Interurban Avenue and 52nd Avenue South and more
particularly described on Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein by this reference as if set forth in full,
should be, and hereby is annexed to and made a part of the City of
Tukwila.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance or a summary
thereof shall be published in the official newspaper of the City,
and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after the
date of publication.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY COMMONLY
KNOWN AS THE METRO PARK RIDE LOT PURSUANT TO RCW
35.13.180 FOR THE MUNICIPAL PURPOSE OF PROVIDING
EFFICIENT POLICE AND FIRE PROTECTION TO THE SITE.
On /,(C_ 1986, the City Council of the City
of Tukwila passed Ordinance No. /j which provides as
follows:
Section 1. Annexes the property commonly known as the Metro
Park Ride Lot, the common location of which is the southwest
corner of the intersection of 52nd Avenue South and Interurban
Avenue South, Tukwila, Washington, and the legal description of
which is attached as Exhibit A to this Summary.
Section 2. Establishes an effective date.
The full text of this Ordinance will be mailed without charge
to anyone who submits a written request to the City Clerk of the
City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.

PARK AND -RIDE ANNEXATION
That portion of the Stephen Foster Donation Claim No. 38 in
Section 14, T23N, R4E, W.M. and of Lot 12, Block 5, Mortimer
Plat, according to the plat recorded in Volume 14, Page 92 of
plats, records of King County, Washington, described as follows:
Commencing at the west quarter corner of said Section 14;
thence NO1 "E, a distance o' 775.84 feet to the south-
westerly line of Interurban Avenue South; thence S48 "E
along said southwesterly line a distance of 141.27 feet to a
point on the southeasterly line of Primary State Highway No. 1,
conveyed by Superior Court Cause No. 598594, Records of King
County, Washington; said point being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence continuing S48 "E along the southwesterly margin of
Interurban Avenue South, a distance of 205.23 feet; thence
S41 "W, a distance of 220 feet; thence S48 "E, 96 feet;
thence N41 "E, a distance of 88.13 feet; thence S48 "E,
127.90 feet; thence N32 "E, a d stance of 131.87 feet to the
southwesterly margin of Interurban Avenue South; thence S48
13 "E along said southwesterly margin of Interurban Avenue South
178.76 feet; thence S35 "W, 197.83 feet; thence S60
East, 90 feet more or less to the northwesterly margin of 52nd
Avenue South (Foster Street); thence S29 "W along said
margin of 52nd Avenue S., 58.66 feet to the most easterly point
of the land described in Real Estate Contract recorded under King
County Recording No. 8306070243; thence N58 "W along the
northeasterly line of said land a distance of 211.58 feet the
most northerly corner thereof; thence N88 "W along the south
line of land described in Statutory Warranty Deed recorded under
King County Recording No. 8408010506. a distance of 334.18 feet
to the westerly margin of 51st Avenue South and the easterly line
of said Primary State Highway No. 1; thence northerly and north-
easterly along said easterly line of Primary State Highway No. 1
to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
