T April 19, 1923.
A Special meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila Was called to
order on the above date by the Mayor at 8 :15 P. M. There were present, Mayor E. F.
Greene, Councilmen W. F. Engel, H. E. Ives, M. L. Holmes and F. J. Klein.
Councilman C. G. Sanders being absent.
This meeting was held according to notice published as required by law
to hear protests on the levying of assessments to cover the costs of construction
of sidewalks in the Town of Tukwila.
Mr, Joseph Hozack and Mr. E. F. White, representing Mrs. E. G. Dema ^ay,
were present and filed protests against the amount of their assessments. These
protests were discussed at length by the Council but no action was taken however.
Ordinance No. 100, approving the assessment roll and declaring the amount
assessed, a lien against the various properties, was read by the clerk. Moved and
seconded that an emergency be declared and that Ordinance No. 100 be adopted and
become effective at once. Motion Carried.
No further business appearing, the Council adjourned at 8:45 P. M.
