Tukwila, gashington.
January 13, 1920
The first regular meeting of the thirteenth Common Council of the Town of
Tukwila was called to order by the mayor at 9:10 P.;1. There were present Mayor
E. F. Green, Councilmen A. J. Erickson and J. B. Heemink; Councilmen Elect W. F.
Engel, M. V. Lemon, and F. J. Klein.
The Mayor made the following app

Councilman Heemink requested that the minutes of the special meeting held
December lEth be read, but upon the Clerk explaining that he had neglected to bring
them Councilman Engel moved that they be dispensed 41th at this time and read at
the next regular meeting. votion seconded and carried.
The matter of assisting -Mr. Schimmel to cbta.in lights in his property on
Riverside Avenue was brought up. After some discussion it was moved and seconded i
that one additional street light should be installed on Riverside Avenue in such
location as the Street Committee should direct. Notion carried. j
Councilman Erickson again brought up the matter of installing a catch
basin in connection with drain pipe on the Flat. The matter was referred to the
Street Committee.
Mr. Schimmel appeared before the Council and asked that the brush an
Riverside Avenue be cut down. The matter was referred to the Street Committee.
The Street Committee was also instructed to remove the mud from the
crossings on ;lain 'Street.
The Clerk wa.s instructed to secure bonds for the new appointed officers,
the Treasurer having already furnished his bond for the coming year. After
examination of the Treasurer's bond by the Council a motion was made and seconded
that. it be accepted and placed on file. Notion carried.
No further business occuring the meeting adjourned at 9:40 P.M.
