July 13, 2005
A number of positions on our Equity and DiversIty Commission have terms expiring at the end
of this month. I am pleased that most of these Commissioners have indicated a wIllmgness to be
reappomted.
Position # 1 : Joan Hernandez - her new term will expire 7/31/2007.
PositIOn #2: Falicia Green - her new term will expire 7/31/2007.
PositIOn #3: Jonathan Joseph - his new term will expire 7/31/2007.
PositIOn #5:. Adrian Laigo - his new term will expire 7/31/2007.
POSItIOn #7: Vema Griffin - her new term will expire 7/31/2007.
Position #8: Tracy Salas - has decided not to be reappomted. Attached to this memo you will
find the application of Emma Mercado. Ms. Mercado is employed by Tukwila School District
and has applied for this position. Her term would expire 7/31/2007.
PositIOn #9: Byron Saunders - his new term will expire 7/31/2007.
Unless I hear otherwise from members of the Council by July 26, I will be inviting these citizens
to the Regular City Council Meeting on Monday, August 1,2005 to have these appointments and
confirmed.
