HomeMy WebLinkAbout1916-10-15 Adjourned MinutesOctober 5, 1916 At the adjourned meeting the Mayor called the Council to order with the following Councilmembers present Kassner Kline Hemmick Myers. A communication was read from the County Assessor that the taxation of every description in the Town limits of Tukwila for 1917. Amounting to $159,000 the communication was ordered placed on file. Bringing to the reduction in taxes. The Council reduced the budget according to the figures received from the Assessor this was accomplished by reducing the estimated items for street improvements to $1,015. The budget was then read with the new estimate and upon motion of Councilmember Kline seconded by Councilmember Myers it was accepted. A motion was then made by Councilmember Kassner seconded by Hemmick that a 10 mill tax levy be made for the ensuing year. Roll call showed the following vote An ordinance p[roviding for the Tax Levy was then read by the Clerk on motion. The ordinance was placed on its final passage. It was passed unanimously by the following roll call. Meeting adjourned. J. Hozack
