Stewart ,B.H.Kassner, and E.E. Lutz. Councilman Sandahl bein.- absent.11inutes of Inst, meeting read and approved after the folioming corrections. I st.'Phat a warrant was ordered drawn in favor of Attjr. Thomas. JW as fees for the coll ection of money on the nisi.ncorporation suit. 2nd. That a Committee was a ppointed to investigate anti oport on the building of the sideralk at the En-el Hill said repor t to include the building of a four foot walk,n five font walk walk on the v of repairing the old calk. Reports of Com.Supt of Lights J.L.nu_rbi.n retorted the Town w as in need of some ne light rlobes.On motion of Councilran Walkup Mx. Durbir. ca.E instructed to buy the necessaxly supplies needed. Stauffer rep orted that for the east month he had impounded two cows and one calf belon._;ing to Johnson of Riverton for which he collected 62.50 one cov of W.H.S tecart,*�co days and two nights for which he collected 'I. al so one sorrel horse in the Pound rhich had not been called for. Councilman Stewart reported that in the matter of the Light and Telephone Ge. eatending their lines into Tukwila that the above named Companies were not ?xr epared yet t submit their offer to the people of Tukwila On motion of Councilman Wal kup the report '•.fat accepted and the Com. ret ained. Mayor Stevens as chairman of the ronlrlittee gppointed to see about securing a read froln Clarence Ave.to Div. St.reported he had in terviered the Co.Conmissioners in rem'ard to hav the Co.En ineor co me outer to make the survey but they did not think it advisable.He stated the attorneys fees in the condelnatiop proce:Qdiris would. be AI00.00 Councilman L?i spoke on the matter.. and stated he was in favor of payi ??n the P_ioney to tho owners of the land instead if the attorney. Councilman Walkup made a motion vrhiah was seconded that the 165 Committee have full power to hire attorney and have conder=w.a +ion proceedinws done throurh.wi A vote on this Motion was taken by roll call. Councilrien Walkup and Kassner voted for the mot 3 Councilrien Stewart and Lutz against It being a tie 1 Stevens decided in favor of the notion. Counci.lrran 'r'alkup also made a motion that the Committee hava +,he Power to guy the land if they can secure title if their so choose. motion carried,Couneiltaan Lutz r.si -ned as a me of the special St. Committee. A'ayor Stevens introduced an Ordinance empowering the 11 -1ayor to appoint an Attorney for the town of Tuklrila. The Ordinance was ordered read once in full and t ^ice by title and a vote taken which resulted in Councilmen Walkup,Kassner and Ste,Tart voting- for and Councilman Lutz against. The Mayor thereupon appointed Robt.M.Jnnes, to the office of Att orney for the To -n of Tukwila On mot ion of Counc Walkup the Mayor's appointrtiont, ;.fas accepted. A resolution prepared by the Public Welf Lea ue of was presented by Councilman Lutz in which they askew the Council to levy a seven an a hal rills tax instead of ten mills to meet the expenses for the corning yea_r.On motion of Councilman Ste yart the resolution -teas accepted and placed on f i? e. On motion of Councilman Lutz the Finance Com.was instructed to prepare budget and give to clerk for publi by Sep.I£3th. There being no furthr business the council adjourned.
