HomeMy WebLinkAbout1914-12-09 Regular MinutesTukwila Wednesday December 9, 1914 The Regular Meeting of the Town Council was called to order by Mayor Hall at 8:15 PM. Councilmembers present were Eugene Sandahl Stewart Klutz Greene and Dave Williams. The minutes were read and approved. Report of Committees The Right-of-Way Committee reported that they worked separately and not good results. They found that all property holders were willing to cooperate with them in getting the right-of-way as speedily and as cheaply as possible. Some of it has already been secured. The following bills were audited and ordered paid. Renton Lumber Company $40.71 E.C. Hawley $7.20 Ed Lewis $24.75 P.J. Koll $4.80 W.A. Lutz $15.40 R.E. Ives $9.60 R.H. Babcock $15.75 PSE Company $11.88 Jas Hartborn $1.30 O.S. Santhuff $5.00 Caroline Lutz $2.00 L. Durbin $4.80 Lowman & Hanford $3.00 $J.L. durbin $5.00 W.H. Cross $5.00 Total $58.88 Total of Emergency fund $161.19 of the General Fund Jas A. Snoddy Total $220.04 The above bills were all audited by the Finance Committee except the bill for Jas. A. Snoddy. Mr. Stewart reufsed to OK that bill and a roll call was ordered with following votes: Mr. Green voted ay Mr. Lutz voted ay Mr. Williams voted ay Mr. Sandahl voted ay Mr. Stewart voted no The "yes" the majority the bill was ordered paid. Communications were read and ordered files. Report of Election Committee that at the Municipal Election held at Tukwila December 8th the following were elected: S.H. Stevens Mayor Mr. Wallkup Councilmember for two year term Eugene Sandahl Councilmember for two year term E.E. Ives Councilmember for one year term The Election Committee was ordered notify the Some complaint has been heard of serious violation of Ordinance No 36 relative of stock running at large. The Deputy Marshall and Poundmaster were ordered to look after the matter. Because of the lack of a place to store tools or impound stock, a motion was made and duly carried that the Town rent Mrs. Myer's barn for $1.00 per month to be used for that purpose. Complaint has been received from Mrs. Barber that Division Street is impossible and that she cannot send her children to school. After considerable discussion the matter has been laid over for the next meeting. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 9:30 PM. H.A. Stein Clerk
