The meeting of the Town Council being an adjourned meeting
from September 9, 1914, was called to order by Mayor Hall at
9:50 PM. Councilmembers present were: Dave Williams,
E. Lutz, Eugene Sandahl and E.F. Greene.
Street Committee reported as follows:
To bring Engel Hill to a proper grade so that the motor
vehicles can enter Tukwila would cost approximately $70.00.
That the road near Mr. Stauffer and Himinks
housework placing it in the shape so that the property owners
can put down sidewalks. The committee also recommended that
Street Superintendent be ordered to do the work at once.
Resolution was again read regarding loan and by a motion
duly carried, was passed.
Amendment to resolution was made that the paragraph
pertaining to waiving of precedence be strickent out and also that
a premium of 5% be granted to Messer, Engel and Guist. Same
carried.
In order to provide funds for the Town to pay its routine
expenses a motion was made and carried taht the emergence fund
be increased to $300.00 and all routine expenses be paid
out of that fund.
Motion was made and duly carried that Clerk should make
out warrants to Messers Engel and Guist as Follows: six at
$100.00 each, two at $50.00 each to be made
out alternately to each of the above named gentlemen as
security for the loan of $700.00.
In order to facilitate the handling of the vaiours funds,
a motion be made and same passed that the Law and Ordinance
Committee draw an ordinance to cover our recent needs as
well as for future guidance of the Town Council.
Ordinance No 40 was drawn up by the above named committee
and read to Council.
Motion which was duly carried was made that emergency be
declared and Ordinance No 40 be passed at first reading.
Motion was then made that Ordinance No 40 be passed. Same
carried.
