Councilmembers present were: E. Lutz, E. Green and Stewart.
Report of Committees
The Street Committee reported that because of the legal tangle
that the proposed School Road is involved they were unable to
do anything. The Committee however recommended that the Town condemn
the necessary land for street. Motion was made and duly carried
to open street at quarter section line. To do so by common
consent if possible or condemn if necessary.
The following bills were OK'd by Finance Committee
and ordered paid:
Yerkee Printing Company $35.75 Ben Terry $7.20
J.D. Durbin $41.40 A. Dollar $47.10
Ed Lewis $60.50 Ryckoff & Company $3.75
Geo. S. Hill $19.20 Caroline Lutz $2.00
D. Williams $5.00 John O. Wold $2.00
C.P. Seward $7.20 C.P. Jensen $24.41
Lowen & Hanford $17.00 H.A. Stein $5.50
Totals $186.05 $91.96
Total paid $278.01
New Business:
Motion made and carried that the Councilmember seat
by Mr. English be declared vacant and new member be appointed.
Mr. Dave Williams was appointed to succeed Mr. English
and the appointment was ratified by Council.
Motion was made and carried taht Mr. Ed Lewis be
appointed Light Superintendent made vacant by D. Williams and
committee to consider salary for them. Communication received
from Attorney L. frank Brown regarding Joe Smith's alleged salary.
The Clerk was ordered to communicate with attorney and explain
in detail all differences.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at
9:45 PM.
