HomeMy WebLinkAbout1914-07-10 Regular MinutesTukwila July 10, 1914 The Regular Meeting of the Town Council was called to order at 8:30 PM at Lutz Hall on the above date. Councilmembers present were Green, Stewart and Lutz. Minutes were read and approved. Reports of Committees No reports from Street and Sidewalk Committee. Street Supervisor reported that Main work is Regarding road to school house committee reported that an account of the legal fight between Stewart and Stauffer the committee was not able to proceed with the building of that road. Mr. Green advised the Council that regardless of any dispute as to that strip of land Town can go ahead and condemn the necessary land for road. Motion was made and carried that the Mayor appoint committee who will be in touch with above matter and if necessary to call a Special Meeting for the purpose of drawing up necessary ordinance. Proceed iwth condemnation of road. The committee is Green, Lutz and Stewart. The following bills were approved and ordered paid: Joe Smith $11.25 PSE Company American Surety company $14.00 J.L. Durbin D.F. Williams $5.00 H.A. Stein Davids & Davids $4.80 O.E. Santuff Joe Smith $123.00 Ed Lewis Davids & Davids $1.20 Caroline Lutz A. Dollar $57.60 S. Meyers Total for above $372.91 H.A. Stein Bill from Joe Smith was not approved Street Superintendent and was referred back to him for settlement. New Business Upon recommendation of Town Clerk motion was made and carried that we purchase filing cabinet for our vouchers. Motion made by Councilmember E.E. Lutz that Deputy Marshall Williams remove the sundry furniture from top of freight shed. Same was duly carried. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 9:40 PM. H.A. Stein Clerk
