HomeMy WebLinkAbout1914-03-11 Regular MinutesTukwila Washington March 11, 1914 Regular Meeting of Town Council held on above date at Lutz Hall at 8:30 PM. Mayor Hall presided: Those present were: Mayor Hall and E.F. Green Stewart A.L. English Eugene Sandahl Councilmembers Reports of Fire Light Committee The committee discussed the cost of light globes. Motion was made and carried that Clerk order dozen light globes of present size for temporary use until the committee were able to procure better globes. Mr. Green of that committee read a lengthy report of proposed improvements at various places the total estimate of which was $40.00 Same was adopted and ordered placed on file. The following bills were approved and warrants ordered drawn in their favor: C.B. $2.40 Ed Lewis $11.00 J. Durbin $2.40 Caroline Lutz $2.00 F. Frost $6.00 P.S. $9.15 stein $5.00 Davids & Davids $35.00 Ed Lewis $16.00 D.A. Williams $5.00 Total Assured those interested that a road Bluff Street will be cut through. Meeting adjourned at 9:40 PM. Stein Clerk Bill from John O. Wold for $6.00 was laid on the table unitl next meeting for Chambers bill was referred to the Clerk to take the matter up with him. Communication read from O. Smith asking permission to take about 5 or 6 loads of gravel from Clarence Avenue. Permission was granted and a motion was made and carried that Street Supervisor go with him to see where he is to take it from. Bond for Marshall was read and accepted. Motion was made and carried that Street Supervisor should also be bonded. Regarding the matter of drainage near Petersen's Motion made and carried that since the grading as proposed by Street Committee per their report will take care of it the matter be deferred until then. The above motion was not satisfied to those concerned and a motion was made and carried that the Chairman of Drainage Company with Street Supervisor to take this matter and do what they can before next meeting. On the New Business matter of drainage the a motion was made and carried that it be put over until next meeting. Motion was also made that Mr. green get authority to consult our Attorney in this matter. Considerable talk arose regarding a road to the school house. The Council as a whole assured those interested that a road from Bluff Street will be cut through. Meeting adjourned at 9:40 PM. Stein Clerk
