The regular meeting of the Town Council was called to
order by Mayor Hall at 8;30 P.I. Councilmen present were

Minutes of the last meeting of the 01d Council and the first meeting
o the present council were read and approved
Report of Standing Committee.
Mr. Stewart of the Fire; °,Light and Water Committee ro—
ported that after mature consideration he dad not think that the
town should go to the expense of buying a fire: apparatus and the
clerk was requested to notify the Columbia Engineering go of the
decision of the Committee.
The Street Committee reported that they have inspected
all streets and although they foubd considerable improvement neces-
sary, none needed immediate attention.
The Street Committee also reported that they can obtain
a 40 ft. strip of land for street purposes in the north end The
matter was referred to the Committee for further investigation.
The bonds of the Clerk and Police Magistrate were sub-
matted to the council;- same were ratified and ordered placed on file.
The following bibs were read, approved and warrants or-
dered drawn in their favor._:-

Mr. Heine, after eonsidera -ble discussion, was turned over to Mr.
Green who will take the matter up with our attorney.

Considerable discussion arose about the kind of Globes
and the quantity to buy. By a motion which was carried the matter
was turned over.to the fire. light and water Committee. It was
also recommended that the Light Superintendent should co-opernte
with Mr. Stewart of that Committee in getting prices on x Nat.
Mazdas.
A motion was mods anti_ carried that the first $100:00
collected by the town be placed in the emergency fund.
Some complaint was received regarding drainage on
Clarence Avenue. By a motion made and carried this was referred
to the Street Superintendent.
There being no' further business before the Council
the meeting adjourned at 9;45.
