ORDINANCE NO. 1-393
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF ONE WATER METER TO A SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENCE AT 13924 53RD AVENUE SOUTH FROM KING
COUNTY WATER DISTRICT NO. 125.
WHEREAS, RCW 35.13A.050 authorizes cities and towns to accept the
transfer of, and assume the responsibility for, facilities owned by water
districts whose boundaries overlap those of the City, and
WHEREAS, King County Water District No. 125 is the owner of one five
eights inch water meter at a single family residential property located at
13924 53rd Avenue South, and
WHEREAS, The City of Tukwila has built a parallel water system in
53rd Avenue South to serve this residence in the future, and, due to a leak in
Water District No. 125's system, 125 now requests the City to accept the
transfer of the ownership of, and assume responsibility for the maintenance
of, the aforementioned water meter and has furnished to the City a bill sale
conveying said water meter, and
WHEREAS, The City's Public Works Department has recommended to the
City Council that the water meter be accepted by the City and the City Council
has determined to follow the recommendation of the Public Works Department
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Acceptance of Transfer of Ownership and Responsibility
for Maintenance. The City Council of the City of Tukwila hereby approves and
accepts the transfer and conveyance to the City of one water meter owned by
King County Water District No. 125 and located at the following address:

The City of Tukwila does hereby accept ownership of and full respon-
sibility for maintenance of said water meter under the same terms and con-
ditions as the City maintains other meters located within the City.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance or a summary thereof
shall be published in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take
effect and be in full force five (5) days after the date of publication.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this 'It day of 1986.
