The City Council is being asked to accept a grant award of $22,208.44 to begin an
educational program for residents who live on properties that contain sensitive areas, such
as wetland, streams and their associated buffers. The goal of the program is to improve
wetland /watercourse function and to reduce illegal modifications of sensitive areas by
reaching out to property owners and residents. The City is required to provide a match of
$2,500. The source of the match will be from the City's Stormwater Utility Fund.
