Tukwila, Washington,
December 9th, 1913.
The regular Meeting of the Town Council was held on the above date
at Lutz' hall, being celled to by the Mayor at the hour of
8:2"5 P.M.
There were Present:
J. if Hall, ayor.
E. Iff. Engel,
D.F.Williams,
I N Sandahl and
E.E.Lutz, Councilmen.
In the absence of the Clerk, E.E.Lutz was appointed
Clerk Pro Tem.
Minutes of the last were read and approved.
Reports of Committees:
Fire, Light. Reported that everything O.K<
Lights are now burning all night, causing the Town quite an addi-
tional expense. Committee suggests that it would be advisable to
buy another time switch to turn lights off and on in the morning;.
Streets and Alleys. Yo Street has been done during
the last month and Qtreets are in as gcod condition as they were
a month ago.
Railroad and Transportation. The alarm bell at the B.R.
crossing at the South end of Town has become a nuisance by ringint,
tortiruously and it is deemed advisable to take the matter up with
the R.R.Cfficials to have it .put in good working order. ytoved,
seconded and carried that-the Clerk communicate once ..ith the
Railroad Company and have them remedy the matter.
Election Committee. Their report on the recent 'Municipd
Election is attached hereto and made part of these minutes. It
was unanimously voted to accept this report.
Special Committees. Mr. Lutz reported that road for
School children in South end of Town had been completed and was
being used satisfactorily..
Bills and Communications. The following bills were
read, approved by the Finance Committee and warrants ordered
drawn in their payment: P.S.R.Ry.$7.05, (June Bill); S.Yyers,
21.00; Jno.C.Udold, 2.00; JH.F.Greene, 6.00; D.I% Will iams, 2.00;
Mrs. Caroline Lutz 2.00; J.E.Bowers, 5.00; B.B.Nelson, 5.00;
A.G.Berg, 5.00; Total, $55.05.
Communications read and ordered on file.
Unfinished business. Ordinance No. 38, relating to
Treasurer's Bond, placed on its third reading, passed and signed
in form and ordered published.
New Business. Natter of Time Switch, as recommended
.:by Fire, .jater and Light Committee, t..ken up. %fter some discus
sion the proposition was dropped, owing to lack of funds.
Matter of fixing roads; to keep them in good drape for
the winter, was brought up, and after some discussion in regard
to team work motion was made and seconded that Street Foreman be
instructed to fix such places as needed fixing.
The matter of examining the Treasurer's books was brought
up and discussed. It was decided to suspend the matter owing to
-the fact that books are being examined every year by the State
Examining Board.
No other business appearing, meeting was adjourned at
9:25 P.M.
