The regular monthly meeting of the Council was held at Lutzt hall on the above date, being called to order by the.Mayor at the hour6f 8:20 P.M. There were present: J. M. Hall,; viayor E. W. Engel, D.F. Williams, E N Sandahl and E.E.Lutz, Councilmen. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Reports of Committees: Streets. Work ptactically completed on Bluff Street. Owing to recent rains Riverside Avenue is in bad condition and needs repairing; Special committee appointed to investigate matter of children getting to school in South end of Tosco, reported that the matter had been thoroughly gone over, but owing to some ob- jections from property owners to children going over their property, nothing definite could be done. After a general discussion Mr. Lutz said that if given the authority, he would see that the matter would be: settled by the time of the next Council meeting. Moved, seconded and carried that the matter be turned over to Mr. Lutz to report at the next meeting. The following bills were,read and approved, and warrants ordered drawn in their Payment: E.F.Greene, 5.00; S.Myers P.S.E.Railway Co., 1.6.50; puss Lambert, 33.00; Jno.G.Vlold, 2.00; C.L.Sanders, 15.60; Ed. Lewis, 44.00; Mrs. Caroline Lutz, 2.00; Frank Frost, 4.80; J.L.Durbin, 6.90; A.D.Williams, 2.50. Total of $159.30. Communications read and ordered on file. Unfinished Business: Ordinance No. 38 placed on its second reading. matter of the Nev. Business: The needed on Riverside Avenue was brought up and discussed; it was decided that gravel will be needed to finish the road. Total cost estimated at about $50. Owing to the fact that the Treasury is in a somewhat depleted condition just at this time, being at the end.of the year, when all the money called for by the various appropriation's has been paid out, it was moved, seconded and carried that the matter be tabled until such time as more funds are available. Mr. Engel reported having seen Mr. Stark, viho had been con- sidering building a saw mill at Tukwila. At present he is unde- cided, but would consider Tukwila very favorably when locating. The matter of collecting dog tax was brought up and referred to the Marshal and Poundmaster. The Mayor instructed the I-.lection Committee to have every- thing in readiness for the Town Election to be held on Tuesday, December Second. Upon request from Mr. Williams Mr. Alvis was given the floor to talk upon the subject of the Torun installing Fire Fighting apparatus. After lietening to a very interesting talk, his proposition was endorsed, but owing to lack of finds, a motion to table the matter until such time as the Town could better afford it, was carried. The subject.of building a Mlacadamized road through the town, along the Interurban tracks was then brought up and discussed at length. Owing to no definite conclusion being reached the mat- ter was dropped. No further business appearing, meeting adjourned at the hour of 9:45 P.M. E E. Lutz, Clerk, Pro Tem.
