The regular monthly meeting of the Town Council was field on the above date, being called to order by the Mayor at the hour of 530 P. L1 There were present: J. M. Ball, mayor. E. W. Engel, E. E. Lutz, and 1% F. Williams, Councilmen. Absent: E. N. Sandahl, and J. J. Terry, Councilmen. E. F. Greene, Clerk. Mr. E.E.Lutz, was appointed Clerk Pro �empore. Linutes of the last meeting read and approved, Reports of Con Streets. %�r. Engel stated that Tukwila Avenue at the extreme west end was very narrow and dangerous to teams coming into Tukwila Latins and Ordinances. Ordinance No. 36, relating to the naming of a new Street, rill Street, read. Drainage. Mr. Lutz reported upon investigating conditions in the north end of the Flat. Recom�-nended that a drainage box be put in through Mr. Foster's field to drain the property in question. Finances. Budget for the ensuing year broughi and read. A Special meeting of the eouncil was announced to be held on L =onda.y evening, October 6th, 1913, for the consideration of this matter, and Clerk ordered to.post notices to that effect weeks in ad- vance of the t.irre set. Frills and Communications: The following bills were read, approved and warrants ordered drawn in their payment: Ed. Lewis, 13.75; J.O.Vtold, 2.00; ars. Caroline Lutz, 2.00; V:.F.Greeno 5.00; Pacific Coast Stamp orks, .75: Total i ;23.50 Yew Business. Matter of draining Forth part of the Flat brought' Owing to the lo,� financial condition of the Town, there was some discussion as to the advisability of doing anything in this direction at the present time. A motion was finally made and carried to appropriate the first $150.00 over the Emergency Fund for the building of a box to drain the low land aforesaid. Llatter of stock running at large and running on the sidewalks was brought up, and after some discussion citizens were appealed to to aid the Council in enforcing the Ordinance governing these matters. The matter of Councilmen failing, repeatedly to attend meet- ings of the Council, was brought up and discussed. Notion was made and carried that the Clerk be instructed to write these members of the Council failing to attend regularly the meetings, and requesting them to either attend or resign. Ordinance No. 36 relating to naming of a new Street was brought forward; an emergency was declared to exist and this Ordinance was passed in regular manner; to become a law of the Town of Tukwila within five days from the date of its publication. ?I further business appearing, meeting adjourned at the hour of 9:30 P.M.
