Public Works ITE State law requires that cities and counties have emergency programs, but provides only minimal guidance to special purpose districts, businesses, and non profits. The King County Regional Disaster Plan will provide a coordinated response among public and private entities in the county. Participation is voluntary and assistance is provided at the sole discretion of the signatory providing the service. To date there has been 112 signatories to the plan.
