called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8 :30 P. M. There were present
Mayor E.F. Greene, Councilmen F.J. Kline, C.G. Sanders, M.L. Holmes and H. E.
Ives; Councilman W.F. Engel being absent.
The minutes of the last regular and specid.l meeting were read by the clerk
and approved as read,
BILLS
The following bills were read by the clerk and after being OK.ed by the
Finance Committee, it was moved, seconded and carried that they be paid and warrants
be drawn for their respective amounts.

COMMUNICATIONS
The Town Treasurer's report was read by the Clerk and ordered placed on
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES
Streets and Sidewalks, Councilman Sanders:
All sidewalks which have been under may throughout the Town have now been
completed and nearly all the streets are in good condition.
NEW BUSINESS
An assessment roll covering the cost of construction of sidewalks as pro-
vided by Resolution No 23 was read by the Clerk,
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Councilman Kline reported that he had surveyed the Ton road and found the
fences of abutting property projecting in the street, The Clerk was instructed to
notify the owners of this property to remove these fences at once and put them on
the true property line.
Councilman Kline also reported that he had investigated the drainage sit-
uation on the flat but could not make a definate report owing to a difference of
opinion among the property owners. The Mayor appointed a Special Committee consisting
of Councilmen Klein, Sanders and Ives to investigate the matter fuither and report
at the next meeting.
A discussion was brought up regarding the street lights authorized at the
last meeting as well as several additional lights and the Mayor appointed a Special
Committee consisting of Councilmen Ives and Holmes to investigate and report at the
next meeting.
The matter of vacating Edwards Avenue was again brought up and as there
was no protest against the vacation, Ordinance No. 101, providing for this vacation
was read by the clerk, Moved and seconded that Ordinance No. 101 as read be adopted
by the Council. Motion carried. Moved and seconded that the Mayor and Clerk be
authorized to execute a contract with Mr. Rice allowing him the use of a portion of
Maule Avenue. Motion carried.

Moved and seconded that the assessment roll be accepted and that June
14th be designated as the date for hearing protests against ssme. Motion carried,
The clerk was instructed to have notice of the above meeting published as re-
quired by law.
It was reported that various streets would need dragging in the near
future and that the bulkhead at Mr. Wiedemann's corner had not been repaired as
yet, Owing to the Street Superintendent being absent, the Mayor instructed
Councilman Kline to see that this work was done.
No further business appearing,'the Council adjourned at 9 :40 P. M.
