HomeMy WebLinkAbout1923-10-11 Regular MinutesTukwila, Washington; October 11, 1923 The Regular monthly meeting of the Councilof the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the MAayor on the above date at 8 :15 P. M. There were present Mayor E.F. Greene, Councilmen F.J. Klein, H.E. Ives C.G. Sanders, W.F. Engel and M.L. Holmes. The minutes of the last regular and special meeting were read by the clerk and approved as read. The following bills were read by the clerk and after being approved by the Finance Committee, it was moved,seconded and carried that they be paid and warrants drawn for their respective amounts: CURRENT EXPENSE FUND F. Frost Tukwila 138 00 B.H. Kassner 7 00 A.E. Hull 2 50 Kramer Bissell Co, Seattle 15 80 C.P. Jensen Tukwila 23 75 E.E. Lutz 10 00 Puget Sound Power Light Co;.Seattee 15 TOTAL 230 20 COMMUNICATIONS The Town Treasurer's monthly report was read by the clerk and ordered placed on file. Statement from the County Assessor certifying the assessed valuation of the Town for the ensuing year was read by the clerk and ordered placed on file REPORTS OF COMMITTEES Streets and Sidewalks Councilman Engel: All street repairs ordered at the last meeting of the Council have been practically completed. Nearly all the streets are in godd condition for the winte and it is thought that very little more work will be needed until spring. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Ordinance No, 103 fixing the amount to be raised by general taxation during the coming year was read by the clerk. Moved and seconded that Ordinance No. 103 be adopted as read apd placed on final passage. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS The question of a water system for the Town was again brought up and a general discussion was held between the members of the Council and various citizens present. It was finally moved and seconded that the firm of Stevens It Koon be employed to make a general survey of conditions in the Town regarding the installing of a water system and make a report to the Oouncil. Motion carried No further business appearing, the Council adjourned at 9:20 P. M. Approved E.F. Greene Mayor E.E. Lutz clerk
